ImagePro>classification by colour

We are looking for ways of numerically standardizing the description of 
colour in order to group animals by their colour class. We have looked at 
using sets of the three HSB or RGB values but would rather have a single value.

Has anyone used ImagePro to extract this sort of information and export it 
to SPSS?
