ImagePro>Re: Material Pro

Welly,

The main Grain Size measurement in Materials-Pro is a whole-image measurement. The grain size is arrived at by calculating the average intercept length, which is calculated by the total length of the intercept lines divided by the number of intercepts. Since the intercept lines cross the grains at different cross-sections, the individual intercept lengths are not meaningful for determining individual grain sizes.

There is an additional function that will calculate the grain size of individual grains, Measure ALA Grain Size. This will give you the statistics that you want, but this function requires that you have very good grain boundaries.

Hope this helps,

Subject: ImagePro>Material Pro

Hi Everybody,
Is there any one knows about Material-Pro. The Grain size
distribution and each individual grain size.
I need to know the maximum, the minimum, and the average
of the grain size  in a image by Material-pro.

Best Regards,
Welly
