AddObject Method (McDataJournal)
      
 

Description

Adds a new McDBNode to the Journal's HistoryFolder with the contents of the supplied COM object.

Return Type

A McDBNode object.   A McDBNode pointing to the new McDBNode.
Failure Returns Nothing.

Failure conditions:
* SourceHandler failure.
* No SourceHandler.
* No HistoryFolder.
* No Object given.

Syntax

object.AddObject (pUnknown, [eOverWrite], [eDataStorage], [sDisplayName], [vThumbnailSettings])

The AddObject Method syntax has these parts:

pUnknownRequired. An IUnknown object.
eOverWriteOptional. A mcDataNodeOverwrites enumeration, as described in settings.
eDataStorageOptional. A mcDataNodeStorageMethods enumeration, as described in settings.
sDisplayNameOptional. A String value.
vThumbnailSettingsOptional. A Variant value.
