| Coming Soon - AutoQuant 2.2.0
AutoQuant X Version 2.2.0 will soon be splashing across the screens of AutoQuant customers worldwide using auto-update technology. Version 2.2.0 will simultaneously become available to first time buyers looking to take advantage of the new features and improvements. AutoQuant Deconvolution is more powerful than ever for carefully correcting haze and blurring in microscopic images created by the effects of light passing through a medium and resulting in bending.
|
Unlike other deconvolution products, AutoQuant AutoDeblur does not require the manual calibration and measurement of the point spread function (PSF). Instead, it constructs the PSF directly from the collected data set. AutoQuant AutoDeblur works with widefield epi-fluorescence, DIC, transmitted-light brightfield and most Confocal microscopes including two-Photon and spinning disk.
Version 2.2.0 will offer:

NEW File Types and Improvements
- NEW Leica LIF file reading support
- NEW reading support for Olympus OIF file updates
- IMPROVED reading and writing Nikon ND2 file support
- IMPROVED reading and writing Metamorph STK file support
NEW Multi-Core Processor Distributing
Technology for distributing single-volume workloads over multiple processor cores enabling faster deconvolution completion times (if cores are available).
NEW Inclusion of the Line Profile/Measurement Tool
The Line Profile/Measurement tool for spatial and intensity measurements is now included in all AutoQuant products, providing instant justification of intensity results.
NEW 3D Blind Confocal Algorithm for Improved Results
Improvements have resulted in a new confocal algorithm better tuned to images where proper Nyquist sampling or over-sampling is used. Results have proved more quantitative and reproducible.
IMPROVED Batch Processing
Improvements to the batch processing engine allow more images to be cued for deconvolution. Run your large batches overnight with reliable results.
General Improvements: resolution of known issues, more!

Deconvolution of Fluorescence Images and 3D Image Processing - Free Workshops at Cell Bio - ASCB 09 - Mon. Dec. 7th
Media Cybernetics will host a Deconvolution and 3D Rendering workshop during the American Society for Cell Biology meeting. Join us on December 7th from 11:30am-1:30pm in room 11 A/B of the San Diego Convention Center.
Workshop Presenters:
Part I: Digital Deconvolution of Widefield and Confocal Fluorescence Images – Brian Northan, Media Cybernetics
Part II: 3-D Image Processing – Bartek Rajwa, Bindley Bioscience Center, Purdue University
The following topics will be addressed:
- Overview of deconvolution and how works
- When and why to use deconvolution as an adjunct to confocal techniques
- Discussion on empirical vs. derived point-spread functions
- Visualization of multidimensional data sets (3D reconstruction, surface and volume rendering)
- Introduction to feature extraction
