All microscopes are limited by the laws of physics, and these laws state that when light passes through a medium, that light will bend. This is one of the most common causes of haze and blur in microscopy images. Deconvolution can correct this problem, not only removing the haze and blur, but restoring vital detail to datasets.

AutoDeblur® offers the most powerful Deconvolution tools available, including AutoQuant® 's proprietary Blind Deconvolution . The Blind Deconvolution algorithm is both iterative and constrained, yet unlike other deconvolution products, it does not require the manual calibration and measurement of the point spread function (PSF). Instead, it constructs the PSF directly from the collected data set. AutoDeblur® works with Widefield Epi-Fluorescence, DIC, Transmitted-Light Brightfield and most Confocal microscopes including Two-Photon and Spinning Disk.

In addition to the full complement of algorithms, AutoDeblur offers several other advantages as well. For starters, it is a multiDimensional platform, capable of handling 3D time-series datasets. Instead of loading each time point one at a time, and processing them through a batch process, they can be loaded and processed as a single dataset.
Another advantage of AutoDeblur is the ability to load a nearly limitless number of channels, freeing you from the constraints of the world of RGB. Advanced researchers are more and more often using multiple lasers and dyes, and AutoQuant steps up to let their image processing be limited by their hardware rather than their software. Along the same lines, users also have full control over the display of each channel. You can choose from the lists of custom colors, wavelengths, dyes, or color mapping to best display your dataset.

On the hardware side of the application, AutoDeblur is also multiThreaded. This gives you the ability to run concurrent processes. To take it a step further, dual processors can be utilized to their maximum potential by running CPU intensive processes concurrently on each one (such as deconvolution).
